Preschool Education (Master) (With Thesis)
PRESCHOOL EDUCATION MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAM WITH THESIS
1-General Information
Preschool Education Department Master's Program started accepting students in 2020 with 20 students.
It is aimed to provide students accepted to Mersin University Preschool Education Master's Program with Thesis to gain theoretical and practical expertise in the field of early childhood education. The program language is Turkish.
Research and education activities in our Department are carried out by two Associate Professors, three Doctoral Lecturers and two Research Assistant Doctors.
8 Classrooms, 3 Seminar Rooms, 1 Drama Classroom, 1 Visual Arts Workshop and 15 offices are used in our trainings.

3- Admission and Registration Requirements
In our department, the application requirements of the students who can be accepted to the Master's Programme in Preschool Education are determined as follows: For each candidate who scores 60 and above as a result of the interview and / or written exam; 25% of the undergraduate graduation grade point average, 50% of the ALES standard or equivalent score in the relevant score type, 25% of the interview result is calculated based on the thesis master's entrance score. If deemed necessary, the relevant Department Board may request additional documents such as portfolio, letter of intent, reference letter or foreign language certificate from the candidates. There is a field limitation in the application to the relevant department, and only candidates graduated from the Departments of Preschool Education and Child Development can apply to this programme.
4- Facilities Provided to Students
In the courses in the curriculum of our department, student-centred teaching methods are based on student-centred teaching methods and methods that allow student participation are used. Students are included in scientific research projects, they are supported to participate in scientific activities such as congresses, symposiums, etc. and professional practice trainings with oral and poster presentations containing research results.
