Marine Engineering
The program is for eight
semesters, where the sixth semester is planned as an on the job training on ships
and shore enterprises. Following a one year of optional
English Preparatory Program of English Language and 4 years of undergraduate
degree program, the Graduates of the department will receive MEU Maritime Faculty, Marine and Management Engineers
Diploma.
The program is in full concordance with the requirements of STCW 2010
convention.
The main purpose of the
program is to equip the graduates with the necessary knowledge, skills and
capabilities that are necessary for safely cruising the main engine,
generators, auxiliary machinery operations and also to detect and eliminate engine
and operations failures of the ships. The students of the Marine Engineering
and Management Program pursue course works in basic machine engineering,
electrical engineering, control engineering and other related issues in
concordance with the principles stipulated by International Maritime
Organization (IMO) about shipbuilding and ship engineering courses.
