Department of Midwifery
The purpose of the program is to recruit midwives who can perform the examinations required for reproduction; monitor and care for the mother and fetus before birth; care for the mother during birth; monitor the fetus and determine deviations from normal; perform normal birth, breech birth, determine abnormal shapes in the mother and newborn; manually remove the placenta and perform uterine control; care for and monitor babies; care for and monitor the mother during the postpartum period, referral intervals; care for all female reproductive tracts and newborns during gynecology and birth and postpartum; participate in family programs; and initiate internal and surgical interventions during pregnancy.
Graduates of the Midwifery Undergraduate Program are given the title of “Midwife”.
Midwives can work in preventive health services, child health and family centers, care and treatment health institutions where health services are socialized, maternity hospitals and maternity clinics of hospitals.
