Objectives
Our objectives are as follows:
a) To conduct research, implement practices, provide counseling, and offer training in the field of psychological counseling and guidance in collaboration with the relevant academic units of the university, both domestically and internationally.
b) To provide psychological counseling and guidance services to help university students understand themselves, make healthy decisions, gain problem-solving and communication skills, improve their academic performance, make the most of university opportunities, adapt to university life, and assist in their social, emotional, cognitive, and career development.

| Individual Psychological Counseling Services | To support students’ personal, social, educational, and career development in a multidimensional way. |
| Group Psychological Counseling Services | To help university students recognize themselves, make healthy decisions, develop problem-solving and communication skills, increase academic success, and adapt to university life. These services aim to enhance psychological well-being and provide support for social, cognitive, and career development through group counseling. |
| Online Psychological Counseling Services | For students who cannot participate in face-to-face counseling sessions, online counseling services are provided. The aim is to make psychological counseling accessible and to continue the support process online. |
| Referral (Guidance) | As is known, diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders are carried out by psychiatrists. When necessary and with the student’s consent, students are referred to relevant units such as Mersin University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, for further evaluation and support. |
| Orientation | At the beginning of each academic year, orientation activities are organized to help new students adapt to the university environment and become familiar with the university’s academic, administrative, and social opportunities. |
| Talks and Brochures | Throughout the academic year, seminars, talks, and informative activities are organized for students on topics that support their personal, social, educational, and career development. |
