Program Profile

The Private Security and Protection Programs have been established in recent years to meet the need for qualified personnel in the security and defense sectors in our country. Graduates of these programs, who receive theoretical courses alongside the social and cultural gains from their instructors and various university departments over two years, are particularly preferred by private security companies for employment as private security officers. With the rapid establishment of Private Security and Protection Programs in universities in recent years, the supply and demand balance has shifted towards university-educated private security personnel, creating employment opportunities for program graduates in both the public and private sectors. Graduates of the two-year Private Security Services and Protection Program are entitled to obtain a security certificate without taking the private security exam.

Employment Profiles of Graduates

Private security and protection personnel perform their duties in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies in the institutions and other areas mentioned above. They may also work as security officers in any business or institution. Private security graduates can find employment in shopping centers, universities, hotels and hostels, hospitals, schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education and private schools, museums, ceremonial sites, residential areas, airports, subways, train stations, terminals, industrial and commercial enterprises, dams, power plants, refineries, energy transmission lines, radio link stations, broadcast stations, and fuel transfer/storage/loading facilities.
