Program Profile

Globally and in Turkey, the importance of management and organization has increased in parallel with globalization and the European Union process. The Business Management Program conducts an educational plan to train qualified intermediate human resources who will assist in the administration of business life and public management or who can open and run their own businesses. The program includes mandatory courses related to the business profession. The Business Management Program has designed an educational program to easily overcome all managerial problems that may be encountered in professional life.

The primary goal of the Business Management program is to train managerial candidates who are well-versed in the basic principles, strategies, and techniques of contemporary management science; capable of analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making; respectful of human rights; adherent to ethical values; creative, constructive, and solution-oriented, thereby meeting the qualified personnel needs of public institutions and private sector organizations. The aim is to train intermediate personnel who will work efficiently and effectively in the production and service activities of public and private sector enterprises and organizations, in line with a contemporary business management understanding and using current computer technology.

In addition to mandatory courses, the educational plan offers elective courses that students can choose according to their preferences. Thus, the program graduates individuals who can identify and solve business problems through interdisciplinary studies both individually and in groups. Besides other stages of production, management has become one of the necessities of this age. The economic developments and changes have led to a complete change in the management structure of companies; the changes and developments at the top management level have altered the managerial understanding at all levels. Therefore, there is a need for qualified manpower to meet the needs of this new understanding. The aim of the Business Management program is to train business professionals who have the knowledge and equipment to tackle all kinds of problems that may arise in a business, improve business processes, and successfully manage organizations.

Employment Profiles of Graduates

Graduates of the Business Management program are awarded an associate degree diploma. Upon graduation, the courses and modules demonstrating the competencies gained during the education period are specified in the diploma supplement. The employment areas for graduates of the Business Management program are quite extensive. In addition to the industrial sector, they have the opportunity to find jobs in various sectors such as banking, tourism, auditing, consulting, insurance, foreign trade, and logistics, and in various departments. Graduates can work in middle management or assistant managerial positions in businesses. Additionally, with the entrepreneurship training they have received, graduates can use various supports to establish their own businesses.
