PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS WRITTEN IN ENGLISH, TURKISH AND GERMAN IN SEQUENCE:

Olba will be printed twice a year: 15 May and 15 October. Deadline for sending articles is December of each year.

Original studies done on protohistory, classical archaeology, classical philology (and ancient languages and cultures), ancient history, numismatics and Byzantine history of art will be accepted.

Technical requirements:

1.Articles should be written in ‘Word 5.0' or more improved programs or in ‘Windows 95-98'. They should be printed and loaded on a discette.
The text should be written in 10 puntos and with the ‘Times' (for Macintosh) or ‘Times New Roman' (for PC)character. The footnote s should be written in 9 puntos.
Footnotes should take place at the bottom of the page, each numbered and following each other.

2.Titles within the article should be written in small letters and be marked as bold. Other choises (big letters, underline or italic) should not be used.
3. For Greek chracters the font should also be loaded on the disc.
4. The ‘Bibliography' and ‘Abbreviations' should take part at the end of the article. The ‘Abbrevations' used in the footnotes should be explained within the ‘Bibliography'. The Bibliography used in the footnotes should take place as abbreviations and the following sequence within the abbreviations should be kept: Name of writer, year of publishment, page (and if used, number of the illustration). This rule should be applied even if a publishment is used only once.

5. For all photographies, drawings and maps only the abbreviation ‘fig.' should be used in continous numbering. Plate numbering will be done by the editors. For thsis reason, remarks such as Plate, Picture, Drawing, Map or any other word or abbreviaton should not be used.

6.Black-white photographs are preffered. The rear of the photographs, drawings or maps should be numbered continuously. With at least two on one page, they should be attached slightly on a A4 paper; direction arrows should also be placed. If slides are to be sent, they have to be numbered on their frames. Photographs, drawings or maps taken from other publications are in the responsibility of the writers; so the sources have to be mentioned. A list of figures should take part at the end of the article. 7.The text should be within the remarked formats not more than 15 pages, the drawing and photograps 10 in number. 8. Papers may be written in Turkish, English or German. Papers written in Turkish must include a summary of 200 words in English or German. It will be appreciated if papers written in English or German would include a summary of 200 words in Turkish.
